He said that the airport will temporarily shift operations to the other Terminal 2, or Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 of Indra Gandhi International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world.

During the rescue operation, a person was seen being pulled out of a cab on which an iron beam had fallen.

An IndiGo spokesperson said that passengers who are already inside the terminal can board their scheduled flights. Those who have flights scheduled later will be given alternatives.

The statement said that operations across the network have been affected due to the situation and customers Passengers are also advised to thoroughly check the status of their flight before leaving for the airport.

 SpiceJet has also cancelled its flights till further notice.
