IMD forecasts monsoon weather update – The IMD had issued a yellow alert for the day on 29 June, forecasting light to moderate rainfall, and an orange alert was issued for the day on 30 June , forecasting moderate to heavy rainfall.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that due to pre-monsoon and rain, the maximum temperature in Delhi on this Wednesday remained below second degree Celsius and the humidity difference also remained high.
This weather agency has also announced the arrival of monsoon in large parts of North West India in the next three to four days. And no date has been specified for Delhi in the list. And this indicates that the monsoon will not arrive on its normal date of 27 June.
The weather department has predicted rain till the end of the month in its seven-day forecast for the capital. And weather experts have said that rain is expected to intensify in the last two days of the month, which could also be a sign of the arrival of monsoon.
The weather agency had also issued a yellow alert for this day on 29 June, expressing the possibility of light rain in Delhi. And if it rains in Delhi, the temperature of the heat will also decrease and the people there will also get relief.
IMD forecasts monsoon weather update – Mahesh Palawat, Vice President of private weather forecast service Skymet, has said that we expect an increase in the intensity of rain in North West India on 28 June and the monsoon can reach Delhi on 29 or 39 June. And during this period, heavy rains can occur in Delhi NCR and on the basis of which the onset of monsoon can also be announced.
However, the same IMD official said that they will declare the possibility of monsoon arrival in Delhi when it comes closer.
No rain was recorded at Safdarjung station, which is also representative of Delhi’s weather, but Palam station recorded 2.3 mm of rain between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm and Ayanagar station recorded 1.8 mm of rain in a span of nine hours.
In its monsoon bulletin on Wednesday evening itself, the IMD has said that the conditions are favorable for the southwest monsoon and for which, during the next few to four days, it will advance into northern Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, some more parts of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and the remaining parts of Jharkhand and Bihar, most parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, some more parts of western Uttar Pradesh, and Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, Himalayan region, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Balistan, some parts of Muzaffarnagar, northern parts of Punjab and northern parts of Haryana.
Heavy rains in Delhi city bring much relief from scorching heat – IMD forecasts monsoon

IMD forecasts monsoon weather update – Earlier on Wednesday, the IMD had also predicted and said that today the maximum and minimum temperatures of Delhi will be around 38 degrees Celsius and 29 degrees Celsius respectively.
The capital’s primary weather center, Safdarganj Observatory, had recorded a temperature of 39 degrees Celsius on Wednesday itself, which was also two degrees above normal.
Monsoon is expected to arrive in Delhi by the end of this week and people will get relief from the heat
On Wednesday itself, a private weather agency has made a forecast that monsoon can also arrive in Delhi by the end of this week.
According to Mahesh Palawat of Skymet Weather Service, monsoon is also expected to reach Delhi on 29th or 30th June.
However, IMD has not shared any information about this and when the monsoon stream will enter the capital.
Monsoon stream usually enters the city between 27th June to 29th June and last year it came on 26th June. Janaki, the first monsoon rain of 2022 was also recorded on 30th June.

Many areas of Delhi including RK Puram, Sarita Vihar, Khan Market Munirka, and Nodia also received heavy rains in the morning.
IMD has issued a yellow alert for heavy rains and thunderstorms in some parts of Delhi along with strong winds blowing at a speed of 20 – 30 kmph throughout the day.
According to IMD, the minimum temperature in Delhi has been recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius and the same IMD official has said that the intensity of rain will increase and moderate rain may occur in some parts of the city on Friday and Saturday, while on Sunday, June 30, moderate to heavy rain is also likely along with strong winds.
The speed of this monsoon will also increase, the eastern central head will reach North India by June 29: IMD
After remaining calm for a long time, the southwest monsoon will move rapidly in eastern central and western India and will also compensate for the gap in some of these areas.
