Lok sabha Result 2024 – The BJP also easily took the lead in the North-East, North-West and East, while in the remaining places the competition was relatively tough and the difference was only of a few thousand votes.
On Tuesday itself, till 10 am, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was leading in six of the seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi. And Congress was leading only in Chandni Chowk seat.
On Chandni Chowk seat, Congress veteran Jai Prakash is leading by 4,293 votes over Praveen Khandewal of BJP. BJP candidates are leading in all the other six seats as well.
There are seven Lok Sabha constituencies in Delhi. All of them were won by the BJP in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. This is the first time that the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress are jointly contesting the elections under the banner of the opposition’s India Block. Congress is also contesting the elections on Chandni Chowk and North East and North West Delhi seats. AAP is also contesting the New Delhi, South Delhi, West Delhi and East Delhi seats.
AAP has kept the focus of its campaign on the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Under which they have run the campaign ‘Jail ka jawaab vote se hi’. While the BJP has also focused on the development projects done by the central government in Delhi and the alleged corruption cases against senior AAP officials.
Lok sabha Result 2024 – Eyes are also on the North East Delhi seat. BJP’s Manoj Tiwari and Congress’ Kanhaiya Kumar are face to face here. And except for North East, all the other six sitting MPs have not been given party ticket by BJP. In North East, Tiwari is currently leading by 18,715 votes over Kumar.
In North East, North West, South and West, BJP is leading by margins of more than 18,000-20,000 votes. And in New Delhi and South Delhi, a very close contest is being witnessed. And in New Delhi, BJP’s Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, is leading by just 3,721 votes. And in East, BJP’s Harsh Malhotra is leading by 8393 votes.

The BJP had won all seven seats in Delhi in the 2014 and 2019 elections.
Delhi General Elections 2024 sixth phase is also being held on 25 May to elect 7 members of the 18th Lok Sabha. And Delhi has registered a voter turnout of 57.67% with 1,47,18,119 voters. And the NDA is contesting the elections against the National Democratic Alliance led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the All India Alliance led by the Indian National Congress (INC), which included the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Indian National Congress (INC).
AAP has also made a pre-poll alliance with the Congress. In which AAP is contesting on four seats New Delhi, East Delhi along with South Delhi and West Delhi. And Congress is also contesting on three seats North West Delhi, North East Delhi and Chandni Chowk. And BJP is also contesting alone on all seats. And due to the AAP Congress alliance, Arvind Singh Lovely has also joined the BJP. Which he left to join Congress in 2018. And BJP won all seven seats in 2014 and 2019 elections.
BJP had a majority in all the 2019 Lok Sabha result elections. And yet in the 2020 assembly elections, the same voters supported AAP. In the North East Delhi constituency, sitting MP Manoj Tiwari is contesting against BJP political activist Kanhaiya Kumar. In the New Delhi constituency, AAP has fielded Bansuri Swaraj against MLA Somnath Bharti. The political scenario has become even more interesting with the Supreme Court granting interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal in the midst of the Delhi liquor policy case.
AAP is also grappling with the arrest of prominent leaders like Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh ji. And this is raising questions about the political motive behind these arrests.
Bansuri Swaraj has also gained a lead of more than 21 thousand votes
Ms. Swaraj has already managed to secure more than 1.30 lakh votes. And her nearest rival Somnath ji Bhartiya has secured about 1.09 lakh votes at the time of writing.
Lok sabha Result 2024 – In North East Delhi, BJP’s Manoj ji has increased his lead to 43,649.
Mr. Tiwari, who is trying to remain in the Lok Sabha in Delhi, has secured more than 2.22 lakh votes. Which is much more than India Alliance’s nearest rival Kanhaiya Kumar. And who has got only about 1.79 lakh votes.
BJP candidate Yogendra Chandolia’s lead from North West Delhi also increased to more than 76,000.
Mr. Chandolia is currently leading in this constituency by securing about 1.82 lakh votes. And the India Alliance candidate has much more votes than Udit Raj, who has got a little more than 1.09 lakh votes.
Bansuri Swaraj is leading by more than 12 thousand votes from New Delhi
BJP candidate from New Delhi and daughter of late External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Bansuri Swaraj is leading by more than 12 thousand votes from New Delhi. And after her, AAP’s Somnath Bharti is also in second place.
BJP continues to lead in North West, North East and West Delhi
BJP’s popular face Manoj Tiwari is also leading by 31,547 votes in North East Delhi. And Yogendra Chandolia is leading by 42,922 votes in North West Delhi. And Kamaljeet Sehrawat is leading by 28,007. And BJP is also maintaining lead in all 7 seats.
Congress also gained lead in Chandni Chowk
As the counting of votes is progressing. And India Alliance candidate Jai Prakash Agarwal has also secured a marginal lead of 4,293 votes from Chandni Chowk constituency. And former Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan has also represented this constituency in the Lok Sabha till now.
BJP is also leading in all seven seats
Contrary to the initial trends, BJP is leading in all the seven seats. And the state is on its way to a third clean sweep. And except for North West Delhi and West Delhi, the lead in the initial hours of counting is only between 1,500–2,500.
